Lifeboat Amateur Radio Society to launch at National Hamfest

The Committee of the Lifeboat Amateur Radio Society is pleased to announce that it will be launching on Friday, 1st October, at the National Hamfest in Newark.

Both the Chairman, Derek (G7LFC), and Vice Chairman, Simon (MW0GSR), will be at the exhibition on the Friday, to be joined by fellow committee member, young David (M3LFC), who started the RNLI fund-raising all by himself way back in 2005. The team will be ably assisted by members of the Merion and Porthmadog Amateur Radio clubs who have done much to promote SOS Radio Week and support thier local lifeboat stations throughout the year.

If you’re visiting the Hamfest then please make a bee-line for the Lifeboat Amateur Radio Society stand and join up.
