RNLI receives £2,652.74 from SOS Radio Week 2011

The Norbreck Amateur Radio Exhibition on Sunday, 10th April was the scene for the presentation of the money raised during SOS Radio Week 2011 to Elisabeth White of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). The money, £2,652.74, was raised by Amateur Radio operators from all around the UK and Ireland from sponsored operations during our annual fund-raising event, SOS Radio Week 2011.

The event is timed to coincide with the RNLI’s own national fund-raising day, SOS Day, at the end of January. Since 2008 the event has raised a magnificent £7212 and goes from strength to strength each year.

We’d like to thank everyone that took part in SOS Radio Week over the years and registrations for the 2012 event will be open soon. For further information about the event and how you can take part, please visit the SOS Radio Week web site.
